Hey y’all, it’s the start of another week. I know, I know, we all hate Monday’s. Didn’t I say in Monday Motivation post #1 that we were going to change that? I thought so. Anyways, this week marks a very special and exciting week and I knew if I was going to do a Monday Motivation post to kick off the week I’d have to share. This week I turn 24 which I’m soooooo not excited about. But while I’m dreading Wednesday rolling around, I’m super excited for Friday because that marks one year for JP and I. Relationship goals? I’ll let you decide that but I think he’s a keeper.
I’ve never done the long term dating thing before, so hitting the one year mark, especially with the stress of West Point, is a serious thing to celebrate in my books. Okay, I’ll stop bragging and start dishing out the motivation. What are your relationship goals? I think this quote from Oscar Wilde (a seriously brilliant man) is the definition of relationship goals.
It’s true that his quote could be taken in a negative sense of being a “normal human being” but I don’t think that’s the way Wilde intended it to be interpreted. For me, a relationship is strong because we see the other person as something greater than the average person. I mean, a year later and I still look at JP with literal heart eye emojis. Not kidding. I would also argue that Wilde’s quote can apply to anyone, not just women.
