Happy Leap Day!! Today is the inaugural “Style Monday” post! Every Monday, I’ll be sharing a new look with y’all. I’m pretty excited to explore this area of blogging (and have new content for you guys Monday-Friday)! I got to take a mini vacation “home” for the weekend! Trying to find the perfect outfit for a long day in the car can be difficult but this outfit was absolutely perfect! The layered effect of the button down and sweater kept me warm in the car but not so warm that I was burning up. I love the bow details of this Lauren Conrad sweater that I picked up a couple weekends back when it was on sale for less than $16! It’s perfect for spring with it’s feminine bow details and pale blush color. I’ve already worn it multiple times, including a date night with JP. Not pictured: the cute bow detail on the back at the nape of the neck. I’m new at playing fashion blogger and the wind was NOT cooperating so I forgot to snap a pic of that… And, if you have dogs, you know how difficult it is to keep the hair off of you, especially when you’re confined to a space as small as a car! These faux leather leggings were the answer! These are definitely going to be my new road trip go-to (so glad I found them when I was cleaning out my closet!). The bag is one of my favorites, a gift from JP, it’s made out of a USMA blanket! So naturally, I’m obsessed. You can read more about R. Riveter here!
Confession time: I don’t normally travel this dressed up but I was meeting a good friend for dinner and happy hour. Apart from the shoes, which kind of drove me nuts driving, I was super comfy and didn’t regret wearing this outfit on the 5+ hour drive at all! Plus, it’s the perfect mix of preppy and feminine with the added twist of the faux leather leggings. What are your favorite road trip essentials?
